2020 Cornerstone Award

Jan 22, 2020

CHRS was honored by CM Anita Bonds with a Cornerstone Award at a ceremony in the District Building on January 22, 2020.

Every year Councilmember Anita Bonds honors “Community Cornerstones,” individuals and organizations which “enrich the quality of life in our community.”  CHRS was selected as one of the honorees because we are one of the largest civic associations in the city, and because we “play a key role in maintaining the integrity, history and appeal of the neighborhood which has been a diverse community for more than 200 years.  CHRS remains vigilant in ensuring that Capitol Hill retains its unique character by responding to various issues that affect the residents of Capitol Hill.”  Beth Purcell accepted the award on behalf of CHRS.
