On Tuesday, February 21, 7 p.m. at the NE Branch Library, 330 7th St. NE. L. Marie Guillory has lived a life of many chapters and paths.

One consistency has been her ability to seek truth and work towards a greater good.  Marie grew up one of thirteen children, on a farm during Jim Crow.  Learn about her time as a nun, teaching and living in DC during the Kennedy era, and her eventual path to law school and practice as a lawyer. Marie’s faith and an unquenchable curiosity and intelligence have fused together to create a community leader whose wisdom and compassion is balanced by her insight and ability to seek truth and accountability.

Capitol Hill Village is sponsoring a series, “Village Voices”, for the community to meet and learn from each other in informal, free, public discussions about a range of social, economic and political topics.
