On January 28, 2015, we celebrated our 60th anniversary in the newly renovated parish hall at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church. Over 100 members and guests attended, and were treated to music, food, cake, and reminiscences about some of CHRS’s victories in past decades by members who took part. Capitol Hill residents have a long history of activism. From its earliest days as a fledgling neighborhood, more than one actually, in the federal capital established in 1790, its inhabitants have proven activist and even a bit feisty.
