CHRS to Celebrate 70th Anniversary

Members of the Capitol Hill Restoration Society will be celebrating their 70th Anniversary on Thursday, April 10, from 6 to 8 pm in the heart of our neighborhood – the North Hall of Eastern Market. The public is invited.
The CHRS Board is planning a program of memories and thank-yous that will celebrate seven decades.
For each decade, there will be displays and documents about CHRS accomplishments, including:
1. Birth Pangs and Growth;
2. Creation of the Historic District,
3. Safeguarding a Police Station;
4. Eastern Market;
5. Moving a Freeway;
6. Public Education;
7. Continued Outreach, and more.
CHRS is working with merchants from the South Hall of the market to provide light catering for the event. Please email caphrs420@gmail.com to sign up.
