Posted on November 30th, 2018

Village Voices: The Capitol Hill Chorale: Its Next 25 Years, January 7, 2019, 7-8 pm at the Northeast Neighborhood Library, 330 Seventh Street NE.

Capitol Hill ‘s own Chorale is marking its 25th anniversary, and looking toward the future.  Join Music Director Fred Binkholder as he reflects on the challenges and joy of developing and programming a superb choral ensemble in our neighborhood. Binkholder has nurtured the creative work of composer-in-residence Kevin Siegfried; and under Binkholder’s baton, the Chorale has become widely recognized for its rediscovery of American choral works and for promoting masterpieces by Georgian composer Zakaria Paliashvili.  Maestro Binkholder is Associate Professor of Performance at Georgetown Univeristy, services as Director of GU’s Chamber Singers and is Music Minister at St. Alban’s Episcopal Church.

Meet and learn from your illustrious Capitol Hill neighbors in informal, free, public discussions about social, economic, and political topics in this latest installment in the Village Voices series.
