CHRS offered guided outdoor walking tours on Saturday, September 21 and Sunday, September 22, 2024. 

The next CHRS Walking Tours will be held 0ctober 19 and 20. Tickets will go on sale October 1, 2024.

Tour Menu:

• A brand-new tour: One-Block Streets in NE Capitol Hill, Saturday, September 21, 1 pm.
  Our one-block streets are among the most charming on Capitol Hill. Come on this tour and learn who created them and why, the communities who lived here and the changing architectural styles popular in 1870s, 1890s, 1900s, 1910s.
• Building Capitol Hill – a One Block Tour of SE Capitol Hill History,  Sunday, September 22, 1 pm.
  Learn about historical and architectural trends in the neighborhood through a one-block-long deep-dive into the history of the buildings and former residents.

These tours are presented by volunteers from the Capitol Hill Restoration Society as a way to highlight our wonderful neighborhood. We want people to appreciate the rich history and the beautiful architecture so that we will continue to protect and preserve the area in and around the Historic District.
