CHRS fielded a contingent in Capitol Hill’s own 4th of July parade. Second-Vice President, Monte Edwards drove his vintage Jaguar and a host of members, friends and family tossed Mardi Gras beads into the crowd. A very good time was had by all.

On the DC Public Library website, you can research your house’s address and names of people who lived there, and then email articles. Here’s how — Go to www.dclibrary.org>research> databases>local newspapers>Washington Post>Proquest or click here. You will be prompted for your DC Library card number and logged in; then search the Washington Post.
For example, type in an address with quotes around it “1606 G Street”. Washington Post articles show that a named individual at that address completed militarytraining in 1944. Earlier, a named individual at that address was involved in an unpleasant divorce. You can then search for names of individuals connected with your house.
