Introduction: The front yard at 600 Massachusetts Avenue, NE, which is in public space, was paved without a permit, and was cited for a violation. The property owner proposed to remove portions of the paving to return the area to green space.
CHRS testimony: The Historic Preservation Committee of the Capitol Hill Restoration Society considered this case. We support the citation and defer to the HPRB and HPO staff as to how to resolve the case.
