You’ll be rewarded when you help with our annual Mother’s Day House and Garden Tour, because you get free tickets to the tour itself—a $50 value in 2025.

    • Serve as a docent in one of the houses on the tour
    • Help sell ads for the brochure published with the tour
    • Research and help write the articles telling the story of each house on the tour
    • Write a tour article for our CHRS Newsletter, or a house vignette that will live on our website
    • Meet your Capitol Hill neighbors touring through—there’s no better way!
    • Just send a note to caphrs420@gmail.com and we’ll put you on the list for the next House Tour.

Already a member?

The CHRS is glad and grateful to press you—gently—into service:

    • Serve as a House Captain, docent, or logistics gopher for our House Tour
    • Assist with set-up and staffing for our table for the annual House Expo in the fall
    • Join the Board or one of our active committees
    • Write an article for our website or our newsletter
    • Help wave the CHRS flag at many events: the 4th of July Parade, Hilloween at Eastern Market, informational fairs, public forums, and other neighborhood and municipal events
