Confederate Statues and Symbols, Tuesday, May 3, 2016 from 7-8 p.m. at the Northeast Library, 330 7th St. NE.
Jim Grossman, executive director of the American Historical Association, discusses confederate statues and symbols. In addition to his role at AHA, Jim has a distinguished academic career, most recently at the University of Chicago as well as consulting experience that includes a broad variety of history-related projects generated by the BBC, Smithsonian, and various theater companies, filmmakers, museums, and libraries.
Capitol Hill Village is sponsoring a series, “Village Voices”, for the community to meet and learn from each other in informal, free, public discussions about a range of social, economic and political topics.
