The Historic Preservation Review Board (HPRB) unanimously designated Eastern High School as a historic landmark on the DC Inventory of Historic Sites.

On May 3, 2018, the Historic Preservation Review Board approved the Kingman Park Historic District (Historic Designation Case 16-19).  

Residents of Emerald Street, NE (13th/14th/E/F streets)  sought a historic district to protect their street. ANC 6A sponsored the application, which CHRS supported.

The Friends of Kingman Park Civic Association invite the public to attend an “Informational Panel on Historic Districts, Saturday, March 11, 2017 from 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at St. Coletta of Greater Washington, 1910 Independence Ave. SE.

Residents of Emerald Street NE (between 13th/14/E/F streets) have been working to make their street a historic district.  ANC 6A sponsored the historic district nomination.  The DC Historic Preservation Office has accepted the Emerald Street Historic District nomination for filing and assigned it Case No.17-05.
