Capitol Hill July 4th Parade 2021

Posted on June 25th, 2021

Photos: Live and In-Person! Back to normal only better! It felt great to have an in-person 4th of July Parade on Capitol Hill. In addition to our traditional Mardi Gras beads, we passed out pencils with the CHRS logo. Bob Andretta drove his hot, red 1989 Jaguar XJ-S convertible, a very smart conveyance.  And our green banner saw the light of day for the first time in two years.  A very liberating Independence Day celebration indeed.
Many thanks to everyone who participated, including the event organizers: Naval Lodge No. 4 and Phil Guire of Compass Realty.

The route began at 10 am at the I-295/395 overpass (at 8th and I Streets SE) and ended at the Eastern Market Metro Plaza where CM Charles Allen held a ribbon cutting for the new facilities.
