On October 25. 2024, CHRS hosted a children’s activity table at Hilloween, an annual free street party outside of Eastern Market. We had beads to string, CHRS trick-or-treat bags, and other goodies. Blue & White Marching Machine Way
Blue & White Marching Machine Way signs were installed following passage of legislation by the DC Council for the honorary designation of the 1300 – 1600 Blocks of A Street to recognize the Eastern (Senior) High School Band, which regularly practices on these blocks of A Street during the week and weekends.
CHRS crew at Eastern Market Zip Trip
Local Fox 5 News does an early morning broadcast from a neighborhood location on Fridays. On July 19, it was Eastern Market’s turn to host the crew. Management at the Eastern Market extended an invitation to CHRS to join other community non-profits and vendors in creating a vibrant and festive atmosphere under the shed roof.
