David Epley, Green Building and Sustainability Manager for DC’s Green Building Program (GBP) delivered the October 2015 Preservation Café.

The September 16, 2015 Preservation Cafe featured local architectural conservator and Capitol Hill resident, Justine Posluszny Bello, speaking on the issues associated with painting historic brick rowhouses.  

The presentation, titled “Top Ways to Spot a Cheap Flip,” focused on visible items that will indicate to potential buyers that a house was remodeled quickly. 

The April 16, 2015 Preservation Cafe featured conservator and Capitol Hill neighbor, Justine P. Bello. Justine conserves and restores architecture, sculpture and monuments both around Washington, DC and around the country. This month’s talk focused on the public monuments of Capitol Hill.

Gary Barnhart, general contractor and owner of GL Barnhart Construction, was the November Preservation Café speaker.

Dr. Ruth Trocolli, City Archaeologist with the Historic Preservation Office, was the featured speaker Wednesday, October 15, 2014 

The Breweries of Capitol Hill was the topic of a Preservation Cafe, September 17, 2014 from 6:30- 7 p.m. at Ebenezers Coffee House, 2nd & F Sts. NE.

Kim Protho Williams, an architectural historian with the DC Historic Preservation Office, spoke on a recently completed DC Historic Alley Buildings Survey at the May 2014 Preservation Cafe.
