A celebration will be held on June 7, 8 and 9 to mark the 10 year anniversary of the re-opening of Eastern Market following the 2007 fire. Docent led tours will be available June 9. Volunteers are being recruited to lead these tours.

Hilloween is an annual free street party outside of Eastern Market. On October 26,  CHRS again hosted a children’s activity table with beads to string, and an avalanche of  CHRS swag -pencils, lip balm, trick-or-treat bags. Photos!

 On Saturday, September 29, 2018 we staffed a booth at the Barracks Row Fall Festival, an ideal opportunity to introduce ourselves to newcomers to The Hill and to those living outside the boundaries of the Historic District.

There was a four-alarm fire at the Arthur Capper Senior Building (900 5th St. SE) on September 19, 2018.
