Call Box Revitalization – Preservation Café – postponed

Jan 18, 2020

Because of serious Covid-19 concerns that might affect the health and safety of the members and friends of the Capitol Hill Restoration Society, Call Box Revitalization Project Part II, originally scheduled for Wednesday, April 22, 2020,  will be postponed until fall.

Nancy Metzger, CHRS Call Box representative, will explain how these examples of obsolete “street furniture,” once used to summon the fire or police departments, can be repurposed as art installations and mini historical markers.

Preservation Cafés are free to CHRS members and non members alike. If health conditions permit, we hope to see you at East City Bookshop, 645 Pennsylvania Ave SE,  on April 22 at 6:30 p.m.!
