Frager’s Hardware

Jun 18, 2013

We are all saddened by the fire that devastated Frager’s Hardware on June 5, 2013. The Capitol Hill Community Foundation is accepting donations to assist with the recovery. See www.capitolhillcommunityfoundation.org.

From the homepage, click on the “Donate” button, note the amount,  and type “Frager’s” in the Dedication section. There will be a number of fundraising initiatives organized by individuals and groups in support of the Frager’s cause. The Foundation’s role will be to receive funds, account for the funds, and follow through on a process for distribution of the funds once that process has been decided. The Foundation will be the organization that handles contributed funds and will participate actively in a process to determine how the funds will be distributed, starting with conversations with John Weintraub and others to determine needs.

There is a website called FriendsOfFragers.org on which news and events are posted.

Fragers has opened its garden store across the street from the Eastern Market.
