Height Act – Congressional Hearing December 2, 2013

Posted on November 22nd, 2013

The National Capital Planning Commission and the DC Office of Planning sent separate recommendations regarding the Height Act to Congress on November 20, 2013.  NCPC listened to CHRS, 30+ other organizations and numerous residents and recommended retaining height limits; OP recommended relaxing them.  Representative Darryl Issa has scheduled a Congressional  hearing for December 2, 2013.  City Council is considering a resolution to support the Height Act.  CHRS supports retention of the Height Act in its present form because it preserves our city’s unique heritage and status.

Comments in support of the Council  resolution can be directed to your individual Councilmember and to the At-Large Councilmembers* and to Representative Eleanor Norton at this email address: lauren.dudley@mail.house.gov
